Obituary of Barbara F. Holley
Barbara F. Holley, 78, passed peacefully surrounded by her family, going to be with the Lord on January 25, 2022.
She is survived by her husband, Jessie Wayne Holley; children, Brad, Chad and Pam (James); grandchildren, Bradley (Katlyn), Marissa, Ann Carole, Garrett, Candace (Mark), Megan, Jesse, and Chandler; great grandchildren, Harper, Hudson, Asher, Kyra, and Ashton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ruby Ferguson as well as Mercedes Smith, her “Big Sis”.
Barbara/Mom/Granny was the strongest woman we know, she was fearless, bold, loving, generous and had a teacher’s heart. Some of her most cherished times was when she was teaching Women’s Bible Study, she loved decorating and organizing events for the church, she always volunteered to be with her children and support our activities. She was a true helper to her husband, supporting him in life from raising children and grandchildren, making their house a home and being a partner in his work endeavors, including their business Big Lick Golf Driving Range and Learning Center.
She will be greatly missed, but we know she is happy and at peace with the Lord. Her life Bible verse was Colossians 1:29: “Whereunto I also labor, striving according to His working, which worketh in me mightily”.
