Frank Leo Hopkins, 83, of Roanoke went to be with his Lord on Sunday, February 6, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Snow and Mary Hopkins and all of his siblings.  He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Palmer.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 46 years, Jo Ann Hopkins; daughters, Sherry Hopkins and Tracy Hicks; twelve grandchildren, April, Amy, Mandy, Eric, Darren, JR, Dawn Dale, David, Austin, Malari and Autumn; mother-in-law, Barbara Lynch; sister-in-law, Sandra Maloney and family; seventeen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; along with twenty-four nieces and nephews.

Frank or Leo as many in the family called him was employed by Norfolk and Western/Norfolk Southern for over 59 years.  He loved his job and made many good friends over the years.  An avid lover of horses, wrestling and mowing.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor David Jones.  Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home.
