Obituary of Louis R. Sheckler

No greater love and devotion could one man exhibit for his wife of 65 years and his family then that which Louis Sheckler showed in his 90 years of life. Louis Sheckler passed away on January 28, 2022 leaving behind his beloved wife, Shirley, his two children Drew Sheckler and Debra Sheckler, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Louis lived a life dedicated first and foremost to his family and friends. He will be dearly missed. Louis was born and raised in Palmerton, PA and was the youngest son of Russell and Miriam. He graduated from Penn State, served during the Koran War, and spent his work career with the Federal Defense Logistics Agency. He loved, in particular, the life he and Shirley had on Smith Mountain Lake. Rest in Peace. A celebration of life will be held for family on March 5.
