Obituary of Ronald Lee Frye

Ronald Lee Frye, 75, widower of Dreama Simmons Frye passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022. He was a native of Alleghany County, Virginia and was the son of the late Samuel and Doris Dressler Frye. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Garry Frye.

He worked for Kroger Supermarket for 43 years and retired as a head grocery clerk. He was a huge fan of Nascar, the NFL and college basketball. However, his number one hobby since retiring has been his grandchildren. He was their biggest fan.

He will be missed and remembered by his children, Bradley Frye (Virginia), Christopher Frye, Melissa Nicely (William); grandchildren, Brooke Frye, Ryan Frye, Aubrey Nicely and Benson Nicely; sister, Martha Lavelle (Steve).

In lieu of a service, there will be an informal gathering of family and friends on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 1 pm to 3 pm at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Rd.
