Obituary of Mauritta Cadd Lester

Mauritta "Rita" Cadd Lester, 91, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 13, 2022.  She was preceded in death by; her parents, Allen and Pauline Cadd; and a special friend, Randy Smoot.

Surviving are her daughters, Vicki (Jim) Adkins, Janice Via, and Lori Patsell; half sister, Helen (Richard) Evans; grandchildren, Heather Anderson, Tori Pons, Brent Adkins, Avery and Travis Via, Troy and Chelsea Patsell; eleven great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, including a very special cousin, Shirley White.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the SPCA.

A celebration of Rita's life will be held Friday, April 15, 2022 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home and Crematory.  (540)366-0707
