Obituary of John Stafford Renick Jr.

John Renick Jr., 75, of Salem, VA, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on January 5, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Renick Sr. and Elizabeth Jamison Renick; sister, JoAnne Pagans; and brother, Billy Renick. Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Beverly Renick; daughter, Tia Nichols (Mark); son, Andy Renick (Trish); grandchildren, Dustin Farmer, Dylan Nichols, Brennan Renick (Erin), and Kayleigh Young (Derrick); and great granddaughter, Evie Renick.

He loved his family, loved to fish, and hunt. John coached Little League baseball for 12 years. He worked at the Salem Post office for 48 years (including military time). He retried and recently was employed by Securitas.

He had too many good friends to mention. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

All other family and friends are invited to Cedar Lawn Memorial Park for a 1:00pm Graveside Service with Military Honors on Monday, January 10, 2022. Pastor Don Eshelman of Hope Bible Church will officiate the service.
