Inez Hensley Barber of Roanoke passed away Friday, October 7, 2011. She was born on October 27, 1923 in Burnsville, North Carolina a daughter of the late Bascomb and Mary Alice Hensley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack, Frank, and Charles Hensley, sisters, Lotus Riddle, Madalyn Johnson, and Leona Horton. Mrs. Barber was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and a graduate of the Roanoke Business College. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, James B. Barber; brother and sister in law, Donald and Renate Hensley of Germany; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2011 in the Chapel at Second Presbyterian Church 214 Mountain Avenue S.W. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends froml 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. 366-0707
