Randy was a friend and brother to me. When I was 18 years old Randy and I would go to church and then after go to Lendy's on Williamson road and get a sandwich and travel around Roanoke for a short time, sharing stories of the week events and laughing and having a good time. Randy educated me about the Army reserves, then later I joined up. With that being said, that decision I made was and surely say Randy was a BIG influnence on me. Now I am retired with 21 years of service. I look back and remember those days.
I knew all of the family, his Mom and Dad were my sunday teachers as well. Through the years family go there ways, and still I remember Randy being a friend to me when I grew up. Thanks Randy for being there.
Randy will be truly missed. God Bless the family as well.

I had the pleasure of working with Randy for just shy of 9 years, I always knew where he was, not too far behind was his “brother” Lewis. They always made our days better, without even trying! When I heard he wasn’t doing well, my heart sank a little, these moments are the ones I wish I was still close to home. Sending you all my prayers and love during this time. Thank you for sharing your husband, and father with so many in the Roanoke Valley for so many years! May God Bless You!

I started working at Haley when I was 23 and Randy was a seasoned veteran on the sales team. He was so kind to me and offered help and advise without ever expecting anything in return. Even after I left, he always made an effort to come talk to me anytime he saw me at the dealership. I’ll always remember him cruising his little white Celica convertible and thinking how cool he was! My deepest condolences to the family. He was a great role model and a great example of how to carry yourself with dignity and treat customers like family.

Janet, Scott, Jason, and family: words cannot express how very sorry I am for your loss. Randy was one of the sweetest and most humblest men I have ever had the privilege of knowing. He never forgot a face or a name and always made everyone feel right at home. I can still hear his voice cracking a joke with me each and every morning. I came to Haley as a young 18 year old and never felt like I had more family than I did there each and every day. I still feel in a way that I grew up there. Many years later when my own husband passed away Randy was one of the first people to call me. Always looking out for others. He never missed a chance to speak lovingly of his wife and his sons that you could tell he loved so fiercely. Hold on to your wonderful memories of such a wonderful man. My wish for you all is that they bring you comfort and peace in the days ahead. Love and prayers to you all.
