Obituary of Sandra Helms Dalton

Sandra Helms Dalton, 75, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 1, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Frank A. Helms and the late Frances Hayes. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents Earl and Bessie Hayes.

Sandra worked in retail for many years and enjoyed shopping, going places with her sister Cookie and spending time with her grandchildren.

She will be missed and remembered by her children Cornell (Cory) Lee Dalton, William Clay Dalton and his wife Amy Lynn Dalton and Frances Regina (Gina) Dalton; grandchildren, Jessica Marie Rolston and husband David, Bridget Marie Dalton, Benjamin Clay, Bethany May and Bryson James Dalton; sibling Barbara Sullivan (Cookie), Great Grandchild Brayden Scott Abbott.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2021 in the Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, with Pastor Clay Dalton officiating.  The family will receive friends on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at Simpson Funeral Home. A reception, provided by Southside Baptist Church, will follow the interment at Simpson Funeral Home.
