Obituary of Mary Catherine Ayers Spicer

Mary Catherine Ayers Spicer, 97, of Blue Ridge went to  be with Jesus Friday, October 22, 2021.  She was preceded by her husband, Kenneth M. Spicer; parents, D. W. and Nellie Crowder Ayers; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Spicer; three brothers and a sister.

Mrs. Spicer was a longtime member of Colonial Baptist Church.

Surviving are her son, Stephen Spicer; daughter, Cathy (Allan) Paterson; granddaughter, Stormi (Scott) Amendt; great grandson, Grayson Amendt; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Colonial Baptist Church.

A graveside service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2021 in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens by Pastors Joel and Marvin Wegner.  The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Simpson Funeral Home.  366-0707
