Obituary of Kay Marie Dominy Sisler
Kay Dominy Sisler, 90, of Daleville, died Wednesday October 13, 2021. Kay was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1931 and lived in many locations across the country while her father served in the Navy during WWII. She graduated from Washington & Lee High School in Arlington, VA in 1948, and from Roanoke College in 1952 with a degree in English.
Kay was a loving full-time mother and homemaker who raised three children. Later, she worked as an administrative secretary to the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and at several Presbyterian churches in Roanoke and Richmond, Virginia. She donated many hours of her time and talents to the charitable works of her churches. She also enjoyed traveling, theater, music, and her beautiful flower gardens.
Kay is survived by her son Mark Sisler and wife Michelle of Radford, daughter Karen Cregger and husband Jim of Troutville, son Scott Sisler of Roanoke, four grandchildren, Sarah Flohr (Christian), Rebecca Sisler (Alex), Melanie DeKerlegand (Robert), Benjamin Cregger (Jewell), and 6 Great Grandchildren.
A Celebration of Kay’s life will be held for the family at a future date.
Memorials may be sent to the Good Samaritan Hospice in Roanoke, Virginia or to the Glebe Retirement Community in Daleville, Virginia.
