Obituary of Louisa Jenkins Taylor

Louisa B. (Jenkins) Taylor, at the age of 92, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021.  Mrs. Taylor was born February 7, 1929 and was raised in Boston, Massachusetts.  She was the only child of William and Nettie Wilson Jenkins.  As a young child she lived and worked at her families properties in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

Louisa found the love of her life at age 19, Milton M. Taylor.  They married and lived in Boston and raised a family.  Mrs. Taylor was a wonderful stay home mother, wife, and working mother of their three daughters while her husband was in the Service.  She worked as a Lab Technician at the Joslin Clinic- Beth Israel Deaconness Hospital in Boston and retired after 25, years.

Louisa and her husband, Milton, moved to Roanoke, Virginia where they lived happily for the next 20 years.  The both loved to travel and took frequent vacations to various parts of the world.  They lived for 55 years in the sanctity of marriage until her husband's death.

Louisa was a loveable, honest and fair-minded woman who would do what ever she could to please her family and keep them safe and happy.  She was a blessing of life and she passed that blessing on to the people she met.  She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her daughters, Nadine Taylor-Miller, Debra Taylor-Davis and Gayle Taylor-Sutton; grandchildren, Adina Louise Sutton, Alyse Lyann Sutton, Andrew Louis Sutton, and Austen Lee Sutton who produced her great grandchildren, Alani and Ayden Sutton.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Deacon Marvin Anderson.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory.  366-0707
