Obituary of Fred W. Vest

Fred W Vest, 75, passed peacefully in his home on Saturday September 25th in the presence of family. He was preceded in death by his beloved Granny, Icie Vest and his brother Roger Vest. 

He is survived by his daughter, Aimee and her husband Matt Hamm of Bent Mountain; their children Chase, Kendall, and Kellen; son, Will Vest of Montvale, wife Ashley and their children Taylor and Ava;. niece, Elizabeth and her husband Jason Urda of North Carolina and their children Cooper and Oliver. 

The family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to the Medical Team, Social Workers and support staff of Salem Veterans Administration Medical Center for the care and treatment they provided Fred. Also to Carilion Hospice for helping the family honor Fred's wish to return to his home before his passing. 

To honor Fred's wishes there will be a Celebration of Life held on his "Piece of Paradise" at a later date. Family and close friends are welcome to attend. Arrangements are being handled  by the Electric Road Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home 3912 Electric Road Roanoke, VA  24018.
