Phyllis Jo Pugh Dudley, 76, of Bedford went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 27, 2021. She was a great wife, a loving mother, a caring grandmother and a wonderful sister. She was the daughter of the late, David and Violet Pugh. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Ann Short and Mary Florence McCoy.

She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Thomas Dudley; children, Deanna Lynn Shepherd, Cynthia Gail Dudley and Michael Wayne Dudley; grandchildren, Amanda Shepherd, Stacy Vaassen, Makenzie Dudley and Hunter Dudley; several great grandchildren; sister, Rita Gail Bryant (Jim) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will hold two Visitations at Simpson Funeral Home, Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 6-8 pm and Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 6-8 pm. There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 2 pm on Thursday, September 9, 2021 also at Simpson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
