Obituary of Kris Kennedy Price

Kris Kennedy Price

Kris was born October 25, 1971 in Mobile, Alabama, and passed away

Thursday, August 19, 2021. She was the fourth of five daughters born

to James Edward and Linda Howell Kennedy. Kris attended First Independent Methodist

and Mobile Christian Schools. She is a graduate of Murphy High School and Auburn University.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in horticultural landscape design and

worked at various nurseries in the Roanoke area. Kris was a devoted

Christian and loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She supported a

number of Christian women’s ministries as well as advocating for the

education of Autistic children. Kris was a loving mother, sister and

friend.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Amel and Irene

Howell, her paternal grandparents, Vaden and Alyene Kennedy, her

father,  James Edward Kennedy, and her sister Karen Ann Kennedy.

Surviving are  her children Drew Price, Luke Price and their father

Andy Price; her mother Linda Kennedy of Spanish Fort, Al, sisters,

Laura Kennedy Braswell (John) and their two sons, John Thomas

Braswell and Coleman Kennedy Braswell all of Auburn, Al, Donna

Kennedy and her son James Ellis Kennedy, both of Spanish Fort, Al,

Katheryn Kennedy (Dr. Darryl Bullard) of Cullman, Alabama.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021

at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road.  A service of celebration

will follow at 2 p.m.  Services are open to friends and family or you may attend
