Obituary of Donna Rose Jefferson Bateman

Donna Rose Jefferson Bateman, 77, widow of Robert S. Bateman, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2021. She was one of six children born to the late Joseph Jefferson and the late Doris Lenore London. She was also preceded in death by a son, Bobby Lee Akers and a brother, Byron Jefferson.

She will be missed and remembered by her children, Toni J. Akers (Tracy), Judy M. Fifer, Rose A. Spade (Steven); daughter-in-law, Debbie Akers; sisters, Lawana Reese (Pete), Doris Akers (David); brothers, Joseph Jefferson (Linda), George Jefferson; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as her special furry companion, Bandit.

There will be a graveside service held at 2 PM on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Sherwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Salem.
