Betty Hall Poff, 87, of Salem, entered Heaven and into the arms of her Father, on July 12, 2021 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease.  Born in Ironto, VA, she was the daughter of the late Denton and Beatrice Hall.

Mom was a sweet, humble woman who loved and cherished her family. She will be forever missed by her children, Ricky Poff (Vicky), Teresa “Tess” Blethyn (Ron Butler) and Bruce Poff (Susie); grandchildren, Daniel and Victoria; her sister, Doris Bailey; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in passing by her husband of 51 years, Rayburn and her sisters, Sarah Coburn and Mary Butterworth.

Friends and family are invited to attend visitation at the Simpson Funeral Home and Crematory, 5160 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, VA on Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm A service will be held following the visitation at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Central and Western Virginia Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, 355 Rio Road West, Suite 102, Charlottesville, VA 22901.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude toward the staffs of Salem Terrace At Harrogate and Good Samaritan Hospice.
