Somerset “Sam” Dyson Roby, 94, of Roanoke went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 9, 2021. Sam was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Lou Leech Roby and daughter, Karen Recknor.
He is survived by his good friend, Ellen Broughman and her family, Cathy, Carl, Brian and Brenda.
Sam had a very unique personality and spent a great deal of time in libraries and at the Third Street Coffee House, where he and Ellen met.
