Obituary of David Lynn Benson

David Lynn “Doughboy” Benson, 65, of Fincastle went home to join his parents in Heaven on Sunday, May 23, 2021. David enjoyed hunting, riding his Harley and cleaning his dump truck everyday. He also had a contagious laugh and never met a stranger.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Nancy Benson.
David is survived by his brothers, Donnie Benson (Katrina), Ronnie Benson (Rhonda), Tim Benson, and Rory “Tater” Benson (Krissy); good friend, LaVon Benson-McKay; special caregiver, Brenda Aleshire and numerous other family members.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 27, from 5:00-7:00pm at Simpson Funeral Home. The family will be having a private service at a later date.
