Obituary of Doris Ellen White

On Thursday morning May 20, 2021, Doris White of Roanoke, VA, a loving mother and aunt passed away at age 90.  Her passion was her family and friends, working in the garden, canning and making people laugh. She loved her dog (Nikki). She gave so much and asked for so little. She was a hard worker and believed that if you started something.....you finish what you started!

At age 90, she was loved by many and so grateful for everything and everyone.

Surviving are her daughter, Peggy Bowling and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Simpson Funeral Home. (540) 366-0707.
