Obituary of Luther Luke Overstreet, Jr.

Luther Luke Overstreet, Jr., 78, of Roanoke passed away Tuesday, April 20^th 2021. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He had a true genuine heart for the lord, family and friends. He impacted so many lives. In his journey of life he did many things like working in the dress factory, on the railroad, to even preaching. He loved listening to gospel music and playing his guitar. He will be missed dearly.

He was proceeded into death by son Kevin s. Overstreet and parent Luther L Overstreet an Bessie (Weaks) Overstreet brother; William Overstreet, sister; stella Amons, Edna Overstreet, Beatrice Gellispie, Thelma Stanley and brother-in-law Robert (bobby) crouch.

He survived by his wife Betty C. Overstreet. Son Mike A. Overstreet and daughter Anita f. Pruett. Brother Raymond Overstreet (Shirley) 5 grand-daughters Kimberly Overstreet, Emily Overstreet (Chris), Holly Kessler (Travis), Annah Overstreet, and Heaven Tiedemann . He was also dearly loved by 8 great-grandkids Savannah, Kenneth, Madelynn, Kye, Lealan, Caspian, Aeralynn, And One On The Way. Brother-in-law’s Ronnie Crouch and Roger Crouch. Sister-in-law Brenda along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends. We all will miss him dearly.

Services will be held Monday, April 26, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home Chapel. The family wil receive friends from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow services at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. (540)366-0707.
