Obituary of Roberta Keithly Booze

Roberta Keithly Booze, with her loving husband by her side, made her way home to Jesus on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. She was 87 years old and resided in Salem.

Roberta's pride and joy in life was her family, a husband of almost 70 years, six children, eighteen grandchildren, and twenty one great grandchildren. She also loved her church family at Northview United Methodist Church where she served as a dedicated leader and volunteer for many years.

Preceding Roberta in death are her parents, Robert and Lorraine Keithly.  She is survived by her husband, Dennis Booze; and her children, Denise (Tommie) Crozier, Dennis (Susan) Booze, Robin Simmons, Karen (Steve) O'Reilly, Kathy Meador, and Robert "Bobby" (Debbie) Booze; and a brother, Robert Keithly, Jr.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Oaks, Richfield Assisted Living for their constant care and to Good Samaritan Hospice for their dedication and compassion during her final days.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to Northview United Methodist Church 521 Ridgecrest Drive Roanoke, VA  24019

Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Simpson Funeral Home by the Rev. Doug Sasser and the Rev. Mike Moses. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Simpson Funeral Home.  366-0707
