To the family of Gladys Surratt: I served as Interim Pastor at Williamson Rd. twice in recent history; in 2012 and again in 2016. Everyone loved Gladys! She was a wonderful caring woman, who impressed us all with her commitment to the church and its functions! As long as she could Gladys attended every function, including Circle, Bible Study, potlucks and of course, Sunday School and Worship.
She talked about her family all the time and those of us at the Church felt like we knew all of you, as well! She was a special person and she touched to the lives of many folks with her gentleness and her independence! I know it has been a long while since she has been able to get to church, but she will be missed by all the members who knew her.
I pray that the many wonderful memories you were able to make together will bring you comfort in this time of sorrow.
