Obituary of Janis Hicks English

Janis Hicks English, 83, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Monday, April 12, 2021.  She was preceded by her husband,  the Rev. Olander M. "Red" English; brother, Lewis Hicks; sisters, Esther Saunders, Betty Dunford and Marcella Tiller; and parents, Kelly  and Lillie Carr Hicks.

Janis was a member of Clearbrook Baptist Church.  She retired from the S.H. Heironimus Company.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Ana English; grandchildren, Gabriel and Grace English; and a sister, Pat (Fred) Goodpasture.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, April 16, 2021 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor Bryan Ratcliff.  Interment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home.  540-366-0707
