Obituary of Gladys M. Farris

Gladys M. Farris, 84, wife of Gerald A. Farris, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 12, 2021 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. “I’ve fought a good fight, I’ve kept the faith.” She was born in Roanoke and was the daughter of the late John T. McCullough and the late Mattie Doss McCullough. She was also preceded in death by siblings, Janet Blount, Thomas, Joe, David and Tim McCullough.

In addition to her husband of 68 years she will be missed and remembered by her sister, Joyce Monast of Bristol, TN.

The family would like to say thank you to the Doctors and Nurses at Roanoke Memorial Hospital for the care and kindness they have shown, Troy, Gilda and Tonya Blankenship for their love and kindness over the last forty years, as well as her precious neighbors, Mackie and Twila Waller, and Twain and Teresa Muse.

A graveside service will be held at 1 pm on Monday, April 19, 2021 in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Rev. Troy Mays officiating. The family will speak to friends following the service.
