I chose this candle because it made me think of the kid-friendly desserts Aunt Dot used to make us — like pluck-its or church windows — while we played cards at the kitchen table, and tossed bits of food to Micky under the table. You were always welcome at Aunt Dot’s house...and in minutes she’d have everyone cracking up with her wry observations or her special rendition of the song “Sweet Fern.” Aunt Dot was one of the kindest people I have ever known. She was always helping others. If a sibling was ill, she’d be the one who left Virginia to go to their homes and nurse them back to health, or to hold their hand as they took their last breath. I was so grateful she was there for my mom and I’m so sad I can’t be there for her today. We will always love and always miss you, Aunt Dot. - Tamra & Jean-Marie Toussaint

When Dot no longer answered her phone I did not know what happened to her. This was a few years back . I could not find her anywhere . She was a wonderful person and was loved very much by myself and my husband . My Mom passed away on April 14 2005 . Dot was my cousin. We cannot attend but our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
