Obituary of Carol M. Erk

Carol (Zuretti) Erk, 83 of Roanoke, formerly of NJ entered thru the pearly gates of Heaven on April 11, 2021, with the love of her family in her heart.

Carol was born to the late Henry and Estelle Zuretti. She married the love of her life, heart & soul Frank R. Erk in November 1957. Carol & Frank resided in NJ until moving to VA 38 years ago. Carol is survived by her son Frank of NJ, daughter Cynthia (Ed) of PA, brother Hank (MaryAnn) of MD, granddaughters Alysha (Cecilio) &Danyel (Travis) of NC, four beautiful great-grandchildren Gianna, Hudson, Savanna & Mercy all of NC. Nieces Lisa (Jim), Cheryl (Chuck), nephew Hank Jr. (Jennifer) & their children, all of MD. Also survived by many cousins & extended family. She is proceeded in death by her Mother, Father & her love, Frank.

Carol retired as a pharmacy technician from Friendship Manor. She loved to work with people & animals. She loved the time she spent as a volunteer with The League for Animal Protection. She loved her family immensely, her church family, friends & playing bingo with Michele. Her flame may have gone out, but her light lives on with us!

Carol’s family thanks all of her/our family, friends, & neighbors for all the love, support and help during this time. There will be no service at this time, but a life celebration will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carol’s memory can be made to Pancreatic Cancer research.
