Obituary of Sally Louise Shull Aguero
Sally Louise Shull Aguero, age 43, passed away on Sunday, March 7th, 2021 from a glioblastoma brain tumor at her home with her family at her side.
Sally was born on July 11, 1977, the daughter of Joyce Cooper Shull and the late Ernest (Bill) N. Shull Jr. in Amsterdam, NY.
Sally graduated from Amsterdam High School in 1995 and pursued a bachelor’s degree from Elmira College in 1999 and then went onto St. Rose College to obtain a master’s degree in special education.
August 6th, 2005, Sally married her high school sweetheart, the love of her life, Michael Aguero. Sally & Mike moved to Roanoke, VA. where Sally taught at the Northside High School, first teaching special education and then filling a RIT position.
Their bundle of joy, Aidan Miguel Aguero, was born to Sally & Mike June 2008. In Sally’s words “he is our world!”
Sally had the greatest sense of humor and smile. Her recount of a funny story left everyone laughing so hard, it’d hurt. She was adventurous, fiercely loving, and possessed the strength and courage of a warrior!
Sally is survived by her husband, Michael Aguero & son Aidan Miguel Aguero, of Roanoke, VA; mother, Joyce Cooper Shull, of Amsterdam NY; sisters Miss Billie Jo Shull of Amsterdam, NY & Bobbie Jean Shull of the state of Florida; her Aunt Barbara Budney, cousins Dean Budney and Greg Budney. Sally is also survived by her mother and father in-law, Millie & Juan Aguero of Amsterdam, NY; Brother in-law, Ray (Robin) Aguero of VA; nephew Tyler Hill of VA; nieces Jaylyn Aguero and Sydney Hill of VA; Helaina (Garrett) Morgan of Michigan; along with so many wonderful, supportive family members, friends and former co-workers.
Sally was predeceased by her father, Ernest (Bill) N Shull Jr.; her Grandparents Arthur & Della Mae Cooper; Bill & Johnnie Shepley and her uncles Dave Cooper and Dick Budney.
A summer celebration to honor Sally Louise Shull Aguero, will be held in Amsterdam, New York.
Sally had the greatest admiration and gratitude of our Armed Service’s Veterans.
