Obituary of Gary Lynwood Hale

Please share a memory of Gary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

On Friday, February 12, 2021 Gary Lynwood Hale, 67, of Cloverdale peacefully went home to be with the Lord. He was surrounded by his loving family.  He was preceded by his parents, Robert and Betty Hale and a sister, Sandy Hale.
Gary was a devoted member of North Roanoke Baptist Church where he joyfully worshipped his Savior by singing in the choir for ten years.  He retired after 39 years of service with the Pepsi Bottling Company.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife and love of his life for 47 years, Debbie Hale; children, Heather (Justin) Young and Bradley (Mandi) Hale; sisters, Louise (Maurice) Wright, and Ginny (Mark) Smith; brother-in-law, Jim Perdue; beloved grandchildren, Allee and Noah Hale, and Mason Young; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Covid Critical Care staff at Roanoke Memorial Hospital who cared for Gary so graciously in his final days.  They are truly angels among us.  Contact: Sandy Harris - seharris@carilionclinic.org

A celebration of Gary's life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at North Roanoke Baptist Church 6402 Peters Creek Road.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home and Crematory.  366-0707
