Charlotte shared with so many her own high degree of professionalism and integrity. Like others I shared the privilege of working with Charlotte and saw the care and compassion she held for those impacted by her work and with all whom she interacted. My thoughts are with her and all of you.

My deepest sympathy to Charlotte’s family. I had the pleasure of working with Charlotte at Carilion. She was so kind and compassionate to everyone she met. And it was so clear how much she loved David. I hope it brings comfort to the family to know they are together again. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

To the Family & Friends of Charlotte Brooks..
We have so many great memories to hold onto with Charlotte and her husband, David. We met some 40 years ago when Charlotte and David moved to Petersburg, VA. David had been transferred to be the manager of our new Fishhouse in Walnut Hill Mall. Charlotte joined my husband & I, both RNs on our cardiac unit. The four of us became fast friends for life...we did everything together...They eventually moved back to Roanoke and we made many trips on US460 to visit each other! They were both wonderful friends. After David died Charlotte struggled missing the love of her life. I have many wonderful memories these last few years with her...laughter & tears, traveling to Pigeon Forge...I will never forget our "Paula Deen" fun times! You will be sorely missed, dear friend, but you are in a better place and reunited with your dear David and family gone before you...You both suffer no more!
We love you and miss you... Joyce & David Dayvault & Family

There are no words to express the sadness my kids and I are feeling at the loss of Charlotte (and David). Both were wonderful people, very loving, happy and positive to everyone they met and befriended. They truly shined God's light and love! I will miss sharing cute dog videos and pictures with you. Although you are dearly missed I am filled with joy knowing you are with David and your family. We will plant a garden in their honor. God bless!

I had the pleasure of knowing Charlotte during our mutual years at Roanoke Memorial. She was a sweet and pleasant person and was always kind to everyone whether as a Nurse or in her other role in the Carilion business offices. She was always supportive of various programs and events sponsored by Carilion departments. She brought her dog and came to our Hospice Mutt Strutt fundraiser event and we really appreciated her being there and supporting the Hospice program. My thoughts and prayers to her family.

We are truly going to miss Charlotte. Although we were several miles away in North Carolina, we would stay in touch by phone calls, some times lasting for hours. Charlotte would send videos of her babies (Valiant and Fury). She would also talk about her show cars and how proud she was of them and the car club.
She would talk about her getting to take the Richard Petty driving experience, and sky diving.
She loved to pick on us about the Carolina Panthers cause she pulled for New Orleans Saints and Drew Brees.
She was always calling to keep check on how things were going with all the family.
We love you and are going to miss you!❤️

Sending much love, peace and sympathy to Charlotte's family. I worked with Charlotte in her various roles at Carilion for 20+ years. She was absolutely delightful to work with and I will forever miss her smile and infectious laugh. So smart, so thoughtful, so good with our patients and staff...her nursing training and demeanor ever present and so helpful and appreciated.
Well done, good and faithful servant! Rest in peace, friend. - Chris Brown

I would like to express my condolences to the family. Words alone cannot express the sorrow I feel. I know this is devastating to you all. It is never easy to lose those we love and hold so dear. May you keep the wonderful memories you have of Charlotte close to your hearts. May the Lord be with you all during this most difficult time. Charlotte, what a wonderful and special lady she was. I was fortunate to have her as my mentor even more fortunate that we became good friends. She taught me so much over the years. She was a dear friend and I will miss her so very much. I will miss our talks, lunches, shopping trips and so much more. I have so many fond memories of Charlotte, she would always make me smile and laugh. I will never forget her sweetness, kindness and how she stuck by me when I lost my son. It meant so much to me for her to be there the way she was. She was so caring and loving, I loved her sweet spirit. I will be keeping you all in my prayers.

Charlotte was a great friend. Being able to talk to her about anything and know that she would understand and accept me for who I am. Warm, loving and respectful tempered with strength and integrity. I do miss my friend, but I am so happy she is again with her beloved David. Thank you Lord for bringing this beautiful light into my life, if only for the briefest of time. I am better for knowing her yet heart-broken that I must let her go. Peace to you my friend, Wylma Sumner
