Obituary of Evelyn Ayers Graham

Evelyn Ruth Ayers Graham, 57, rested from this life on Monday, January 11, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Donald W. Ayers, Sr. and Anita Hamrick Ayers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fernando Garcia Ozuna.

Evelyn was a member of Southview United Methodist Church and loved her church family immensely. She had a passion for sewing and gave away many baby blankets and other handmade items. She loved singing karaoke, drinking coffee and Dr. Pepper.

She will be missed and remembered by her son, Alex Ozuna; siblings: Cecil Ayers (Beverly), Donnie Ayers (Becca), Pam Gibson (Jason), Mike Ayers (Sandy) and special “adopted” grandchildren: Addison, Layken and Brayden Graybill. Numerous other nieces and nephews whom she loved, as well as her dog, Dolly.

A celebration of her life will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, January 15, 2021 in the Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home with Pastor Warren Carswell officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Rd.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Southview United Methodist Church, 3539 Peters Creek Rd., Roanoke, VA 24019.
