Obituary of Hazel Thomas Smith

Hazel Thomas Smith, 84, of Roanoke passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at her daughter's home.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Hazel Anderson Thomas; husband Robert E. Smith; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn (Charlie) Proctor; sisters, Leta James and Peggy Yager.

Surviving are her daughter, Terry "TC"  (Gary) Stoots; sister, Sandra Barnette; grandchildren, Chevi (Jason) Moseley, and Troy (Megan) Dunman; great grandchildren, Bailey Coulter, Tegan Dunman, Kennedy and Kenzie Moseley; and her brother-in-law, Jack Yager.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the Franklin County Humane Society.

A celebration of Hazel’s life will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 2,  2021 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory.  366-0707
