Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Craighead Jenkins

Elizabeth “Ann” Jenkins, 83, of Roanoke, died Sunday, December 20, 2020 at her residence. She was born on November 25, 1937 to the late Ellery and Thelma Johnson Craighead. She worked many years at Pitzer Transfer and then went on to work at Arlenes Uniform. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Daniel “Bud” Jenkins. Those left to cherish her memory are 4 daughters, Kathy Huffman (Ronnie), Sherry Jenkins, Danette Flowers (Michelle), and Merry Dearien (John); 14 grandchildren, Randall Jenkins (Lindsey), Jennifer Owens (Anthony), Kevin Cornette (LeAnn), Angel Fleming (David), Melissa Callahan, Stephanie Guercin (Richard), Danielle Callahan, James “Scooter” Braley, Daniel Braley (Cynthia), Travis Dearien, Summer Braley, Shane Dearien (Jessie), Brittany Mauro, and John Harvey Dearien (Johnnie); 36 great grandchildren; sister, Sandra Hope; nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends; and her special furry companion, Maggie. The family would like to thank Carilion Hospice for all the care and compassion they showed the family. Due to Covid a memorial service will be held at a later time.
