My Big Brother David -- the Faithful One
David was to be High School Valedictorian when I came on the scene as an adopted baby. Then on to Marshall College where he was in a group of men who included me as 'mascot'. David faithfully kept those relationships calling and visiting them for years. He did the same for his high school alumni attending reunions. And for the Hale family, he traveled long distances to participate in family gatherings and personal life events. On such an occasion I cherish the memory of David taking a train from Virginia to Boston during a Christmas week snowstorm to walk me down the aisle at my wedding in Boston.

David was one of the best people I've ever known. He was kind, dignified and considerate, and so pleasant to be around. I'm so thankful for the opportunity to have known him. He will be greatly missed.

Karen
I'm thinking of the basketball games that you and your Dad and Dan and I had together.
I will miss talking trains with my uncle.
My Mom and Dad and Doris and Josh will welcome him in heaven.
