Obituary of Harold Derwood Sizer
Harold Derwood Sizer of Salem, VA completed his battle with Vascular Dementia in the early morning hours of November 2, 2020. He is now at peace, restored, and dancing with Jesus!
Harold was born on August 13, 1952, to Kenneth Brown Sizer and Isabel Camden Sizer. He is proceeded in death by both parents and his sister, Sandy Sizer Moore. He is survived by his two daughters, Erin Love and Cara Keesee (DJ), their mother, Brenda Sizer, and 9 grandchildren.
“Derwood” was the life of many parties in his lifetime. He could always be counted on for a funny story, a desire to help, and loyal friendship. He loved many things: music, fishing, animals, his daughters, grandkids, and the Word of God. Although he had many health struggles over these past several years those things remained true.
A private family service will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, and a celebration of Harold’s life is being planned for the summer of 2021. Please enjoy an evening of James Brown, BB King, or Eric Clapton in memory of him!
