Tommy has been involved with every event in my life since we first met in 1994 when I worked with him at Davis and Jordan Mortuary Service in Richmond. I went off to Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service and after graduating in 1999, Tommy took me on as it was now Davis and Huddleston Mortuary Service. Tommy and I spent at times, days, literally days together, and many countless hours in the vehicle together either removing or transporting human remains. Tommy and I have been on thousands of death calls together and having contracts with local agencies and state medical examiner, we stayed right busy along with the embalming service provided for out of town funeral homes. Tommy kept us in business for the one single reason, after fighting many obstacles, the sole purpose of remaining open was to complete my apprenticeship. Upon completion of that, we closed up and I went to manage a funeral home in south central VA, but we still talked everyday, and saw each other at least once a week. Whole manager, Tommy came in to visit for a day, and after six months of not being directly involved with funeral service, I received a death call and took him with me. It was like we were still working together every day, and Tommy loved going on the call. Actually, he really loved the prank phone calls we made to the old lady that owned the funeral home, and the older retired navy corpsman that worked full time with me at the funeral home. It was Tommy's idea, and it was great, even Roy got a big laugh about it the next day when I went in to the funeral home. I bought and moved to my property in Ferrum, which Tommy was everyday still involved with me, and was the only one to help me prepare, and bury my 19 yrs old four legged girl PupPup. He knew all my girls, my family and was always involved in some way, if not all the way, in every part of my life since 1999. I knew Kathy, his sister, very well and tried with no luck to scare her one night while she was camping on my property. Tommy, again was assisting in that, but Kathy slept right thru our antics. Many, so very many more memories and not enough time or space to put them all on here. I really miss Kathy, and especially Tommy, more than a friend, more than a family member, just gonna keep your memory alive everyday as I have for all these years. We moved a lot of bodies together, been there thru a lot of lifes tribulations and Tommy will never be forgotten ! Very sad to not have you around, but we will see each other again. Goodbye, Goodnight until we meet again, see you Tommy.
