I met Dawne in 2009 at the National Irish Setter dog show. She owned a girl named Reaghan, who was the littermate of my girl Hannah. We kept in touch over the years and shared our love of Irish Setters, Dawne was one of the kindest people I've known and always spoke proudly about her girls. Whitney and Paige, my deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother. I know she is watching over your entire family.

Dawne was just a genuine wonderful person. I knew her through Star City Canine Training club where she instructed some classes and where I was a part of the freestyle team where we danced with our dogs to a specific routine. She was loved and will be missed by many.

Blessed and thankful for all the ways Dawne helped me at Carilion Clinic Cardiology. So many fond memories of her beautiful heart.
God’s peace and comfort to all her loved ones now and throughout this tender tender time.
I regret I will not get to be there in person on Saturday to join in the celebration of her life.
I will always remember her smile and acts of kindness she showed to me.

Eleven years ago Dawne entered my life, assured my dog's happy future, and was always, always, spunky, can do, funny, willing, tolerant of all of our quirks and flaws, both humans and critters.
May all of you have the gift, the heritage, of such an alive and vital and brave and funny woman. May the pain in your heart be eased by memories, her love, and feeling her near, always. I am so very sorry.

My deepest Condolences to the family of Dawn. I was a former co-worker of Dawn at Carilion Cardiology. She was a happy go lucky person and loved training her dogs. She would always find the humor in something. I enjoyed working with her, she will be missed.
