Anna Roop Sowers, 85, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 30, 2020. She was preceded by her husband James Floyd Sowers; son, Raymond Michael Sowers.
She was employed by Valleydale Packers and spent most of her life as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are her granddaughter, Tarra (Joel) Svec; great grandchildren, Abigail Svec, Ryan Svec, and Eric Svec; sisters, Rose Roop, and Sandra Salvati; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests that memorials be made to Good Samaritan Hospice.
A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m Tuesday, July 7, 2020 in Sherwood Memorial Park by the Rev. Troy Mays. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2020 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. 366-0707
