Marilyn (Meemaw) Lafferty, 59, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Friday, May 8, 2020. She was preceded by her husband, Daryl Lafferty; a son, Christopher Lafferty; parents Elrey and Lizzie Dooley; and a brother, Michael Dooley.
Marilyn was a former employee of HCA Lewis Gale Medical Center.
Surviving are her sons, Shane (Tammie) Lafferty, Eric (April) Lafferty; grandchildren, Mahkayla and Shane Lafferty, Haley Cooley, Amiyah and Madison Lafferty, Damian Marchie, and Liam Lafferty; sister, Debra Dooley; devoted friend, Donnie Thorne; and a number of nieces and nephews, including Zachari Caldwell
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2020 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. Friends are encouraged to attend via live stream. There will be a viewing and visitation for no more than ten friends at a time from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
