Ruth McGuire Peck, 66, of Roanoke went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 19, 2020. She was a loving wife, mother, and Memaw. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Silas McGuire and Virginia Pearl McGuire; and sisters, Shirley Amos and Mary Whitescarver.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Louis Peck, Jr.; daughters, Crystal Rivers and husband Aaron and Sarah Taylor and husband John; grandchildren, Mason Rivers and Kate Rivers; brothers, Curtis McGuire and Jerry McGuire; and sister, Teresa Fralin.
The family will have a "family only" Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at 1:00pm at Simpson Funeral Home, due to the Co-Vid situation. This service can be viewed "live" by the public by going to www.simpsonfuneral.com and by clicking the olive-colored Youtube link. The Visitation, which is also on Wednesday, will be open to the public, with 10 people at a time, from 12noon until 1pm. The family will accept flowers and/or donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
