William G. (for gorgeous) "Bill" Chitwood, 53, of Vinton went home to be with the Lord Sunday, March 29, 2020. He was preceded by his father, John T. Chitwood, Jr.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Lori Chitwood; children, David , Brittany (Andrew), Kasie, William "Billy"; grandchildren, Paw Paw princesses, Jericka, Harley; and his little monsters, Dylan, Ayden, Landyn, Waylon, Brody, Jaxon, and Kyler; mother, Linda Morris; sisters, Monica Chitwood Zills, Becky Chitwood (Charlie) Nunley, Lori Fergusson, Lisa Artutis, Charlene Shepherd; brothers, Eddie (Robin) Artutis, Richard (Shelly) Artutis, John T. (Carey) Chitwood III, Phillip (Sarah) Chitwood, and Todd Barry; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bill will be forever in our hearts and never forgotten. Even with all his pain and suffering he was our rock.
A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2020 in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. There will be no public viewing or visitation. A memorial will be held at a later date once the quarantine has been lifted for friends. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
