Donna Lue Wells, 71, of Salem, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 14, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Mildred Mitchem; daughter, Sherri Denise Parsons; brother, Gene Allen Mitchem. Donna is survived by her brothers, Thomas Garfield Mitchem, Robert Kenneth Mitchem, and Carl Michael Mitchem and life partner Joan; sister, Carletta Diane Mitchem; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Donna worked as a server for 40 years at numerous restaurants, serving numerous people all over the country, from West Virginia, Texas, Tennessee, and Virginia. After retiring from restaurants, she worked at Goodwill. She always had faith in the Lord no matter how grave the circumstances.
Services will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 4 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Interment will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 12 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell West Virginia. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. (540)366-0707.
