I never worked with RJ while we were with DOF. Just saw him occasionally at meetings. But after we retired on Oct. 1 1991, we worked a special fire prevention, contractor program for the Cherokee National Forest Service in TN from Oct. 1 - Nov. 8. I looked at my notes and report last week and see that we contacted over 200 people that we saw living along the FS boundary and/or traveling in the area of the several large Forest Fires that had burned hundreds of acres that Oct. RJ drove us in his Ford Ranger and I read the maps and took notes. We both enjoyed talking with the people and I especially enjoyed working with RJ. I see that he did special projects throughout his retirement. A great individual in my opinion. Harold Hannah, Abingdon Region.
