I will never forget your kind heart and the way you always managed to keep a smile on your face, no matter the situation. The way you loved your boys was amazing, and the way you always accepted me and considered me family, has always meant the world to me. I'll never forget how you treated me just like a daughter and I'm grateful to have shared the past year with such a sweet person. Thank you for accepting me, no matter what mistakes I made. I just want you to know that I looked up to you for the way that you loved your family. You raised the kindest, well mannered boys, and you never quit them and that's what I'll remember mostly! The term...give somebody the shirt off your back....was you 100%. I admire that!! I will pass on stories to your grandchildren and make sure they know just how beautiful you were. I will miss you terribly, as will Seth I know! But we know the 3 Musketeers are back together, drinking coffee, and watching your stories. I will never forget you and I will always love you dearly. Thank you for leaving me such a kind and gentle man! I will always be there for Seth, as he is for me, and I promise we will take care of each other, forever. So don't you worry!! Tell Nanny she's been right for 20 years ;) Until we meet again, I send you all my love, Love your daughter always, Shanny!

The death of a loved one is traumatic and difficult to deal with but God, whose name is Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) is far more powerful than death. He promises to destroy this enemy, death, once and for all. The Bible teaches: "The last enemy death, is to be brought to nothing." (1 Corinthians 15:26) The resurrection hope tells us about Jehovah's love and undeserved kindness for humans. Please visit jw.org for more words of comfort.

First Christy, your mom, and now you. I just can’t get over your all gone. Selfishly I miss heck out of you all. You all were more than friends you were family to me. I really feel lost without y’all. I know the three you are having a great time in heaven.
Kay you are one the sweetest ladies I ever met with the most unselfish heart. Thank you for all you did for me and my family. Thank you for the vacations you included me in on. I will always cherish the memories I had with you all. I promise to keep the promise I made to you last time we talked to keep an eye out for little Allie. I love you friend. Fly high in heaven give your mom & Christy a hug for me.

I have often thought of my childhood friend and wondered how she was doing. I spoke with Kay's mother several times in my job at The Roanoke Times. Eva always made me feel very special. Very saddened to learn of Kay's passing. Prayers going up for her family.

Remembering the good times, trips to the beach with your family, Friday nights, sitting around the kitchen table drinking coffee with your mom and Christy. I will see you again. ❤️
