The promise that death will be no more is as sure as the sun rising each morning. The promise is found in his Word the Bible at Revelation 21:4, which says: “He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be any more. The former things have passed away.” It is also given in the book of Isaiah: “He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces.”—Isa. 25:8. Without a doubt God will bring to life our dead loved ones. Please look forward to that wonderful time in the near future.

Mr. Lawson “Jessie” has always been so sweet and kind to me, along with his beautiful wife Joyce. He was an amazing person and an accomplished Veteran. I will always cherish the fond memories of spending time at his house with his daughter Jennifer in high school, laughing at his jokes, listening to stories about how he and his Joyce met, experiences about raising his girls, and his time in the military.
Later on as an adult, I had the privilege of going with Jennifer to visit him and Joyce at their home in suburban Atlanta for the holidays. After everyone went to bed, he made me feel so welcome and compassionately took time to allow me to vent about my troubles at the time. He showed a genuine interest in how my life was going and offered much needed fatherly advice. Despite me feeling depressed at the time, he turned my blues around by making me laugh about some of his philosophies on work and life by making multiple references to the show “King of the Hill,” and telling funny jokes. I often think of him during my commute to work, because of some of the hilarious stories he shared with me about his commutes and other work stories. Mr. Lawson also shared how thankful he was for the love he had for his wife and girls and vice versa. Jessie, Joyce, and their daughters made that Christmas one of the best in my life with their warm welcome and providing the first family holiday I ever genuinely experienced. Mr. Lawson helped me understand what that time of year is all about.
In recent years, I know that he was thrilled with the additions to his family with his granddaughters Lexi and Rachel, his son-in-law Derick, and Jessica’s boyfriend, Nathan, expanding the love he had for his family.
I am heartbroken that he is no longer with us on this earth, however I know he has gone to a place of no suffering, pain, anxiety, or any other negative human emotion or feeling that we experience here in this life. He has always been so sweet and kind to me, along with his beautiful wife Joyce. I am heartbroken that he is no longer with us on this earth, however I know he has gone to a place of no suffering, pain, anxiety, or any other negative emotion.
To Joyce, Jennifer, and Jessica, please accept my deepest condolences throughout this difficult time, and remember how proud he was to have each and everyone of you. As the holidays approach, I know this year will be extremely difficult, and the holidays will never be the same, however I know he will be with you all in spirit and forever in your hearts.

So sorry to hear of Jesse's passing. I have many fond memories of working with him and raising our families together here in Alabama. Sending my deepest sympathy to Joyce and the girls.

I met Jesse when I was a teenager. He and later his family have been a part of my life ever since. Our children are the same age and attended school together in two different states. My heart hurts for his family.
