Obituary of Alvin Lee Sartin

Alvin Lee Sartin, 76, of Salem, gained his wings and entered Heavens gates on Thursday, October 17, 2019. Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Lucy Sartin; son, Alvin Sartin Jr.; siblings, JW Sartin, Calvin (Pat) Sartin, Margaret (Cree) Weis, Ruth (Toodley) Stafford, Joel (Punk) Sartin, Estelle Lafon Skeen, Basil Sartin, Mary Joann Sartin, and Linda M. Craft.

Alvin is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Pamela G. Sartin; daughter, Sandy Ayers and husband Mike; grandson, Christopher Ayers; granddaughters, Kristen Guthrie and husband David, Katie Hancock and husband Corey; great-grandchildren, Brylee, Levi, Caden, and Deacon; brother, Donald (Duck) Sartin and wife Shirley; sister, Dreama Page and husband Donnie; sisters-in-law, Barbara Maxey and Brenda Shaver; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, friends, and his special dogs Trip and Trixie.

Services will be held Monday, October 21, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Hambrick and Pastor Todd Stiffler officiating. Interment will follow services at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will have a reception at Salem Church of God following the services and all are welcome to join.  The family will receive friends Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home.
