I remember meeting Mr. Havnaer long ago in Roanoke on the weekend of Nancy and Steve's wedding. I have forgotten many things over the years but I do remember how I noticed his kind and affable manner. I know you all must miss him dearly and I hope that over time your feelings of great loss will wither and your fond memories will keep his spirit living as part of your soul. May God Bless you all through these tough times.

I was fortunate enough to know Jack over the years through family occasions with my good friends Steve and Nancy Kruchko. I was always impressed with his sharp wit and intelligence that was tempered with grace and humility. He always made me feel a part of the family when we were together. Above all he was a true gentleman and will be missed by everyone whose lives he touched over a long and fruitful life.

Jack was such a dear dear man. He clearly adored his wife and family. I will always smile when I think of him dancing with “ the bride” at David and Amanda’s wedding. He was a treasure.
