Obituary of Joseph Elbert Brown

Joe Brown, 75 of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Friday, July 5, 2019.  He was preceded by his parents, Elbert R. and Virgie Brown; father-in-law and mother-in-law, W. W. and Margaret Dudding; and a sister-in-law, Betty Hawley.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Mary Brown; daughter, Lora Mabes; son, Joe Brown, Jr.; grandson, Stewart Brown; brother, Marvin (Dottie) Brown; sister, Erma (Robert) Rosier; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Garfield Hawley, Carol and Edward Harrison; Joann and Howard Melnikoff; Kathy and Anthony Craddock; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted   1 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor Kevin Cummings.  Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home.  366-0707
