Obituary of Dess DeHaven Robinson

Dess DeHaven Robinson, 91, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 24, 2019.  She was preceded by her husbands, Ralph DeHaven and Harvey Robinson; parents, Lewis and Stella Johnson; sister, Myrtle Walker; and a step daughter, Susan Robinson Harmon.

Dess retired from the Roanoke City Health Department and was an active member of Hollins Road Baptist Church.

Surviving are her son, Larry (Lou Ann) DeHaven; grandchildren, Hilary

(David) Dillow, Jeff (Brandy) Robbins; great grandchildren, Tanner and Landon Dillow; and a great niece, Shannon Gould.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Building Fund C/O Hollins Road Baptist Church 3502 Old Mountain Road Roanoke, VA  24019.

Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. Mark Washington.

Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2019 at Simpson Funeral Home.  www.simpsonfuneral.com
