Barton Charles "June Bug" McAbee, 70, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Friday, April 12, 2019. He was preceded by his father, Barton C. McAbee, Sr.; mother, Helen Patterson; brothers, Michael McAbee and Bill Downey; sisters, Rebecca Smith, Barbara "Susie" McAbee, Helen Callaway, and Linda McAbee.
Surviving are his brothers, Richard and David McAbee; sister, Patricia Ann Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 2 pm at the Wabun Revival Center 5010 Beason Lane Salem, VA. Pastor Andrew Draughn will officiate. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home and Crematory. 366-0707
